Addressing a series of meetings in Shimla (Rural) constituency, represented by him, the HP CM said that HRTC was catering to the need of the people in rural and remote areas and was committed to ply bus service in uneconomical routes.
    
The previous BJP government did not replace any bus during its tenure and as a result, people in rural and remote areas suffered, he alleged.
    
The Chief Minister said that 17 schools had been upgraded in this constituency which included seven Middle, five High and five Senior Secondary Schools.
    
He said that the Rs 86 crore-Nehra Lift Irrigation Scheme, benefitting 25 panchayats of Thali, Rampur and Keonthal area, would be constructed soon while a shooting range would be set up at Nehra.
