The Cabinet decided to promulgate the ordinance to cover those who had constructed buildings in violation of Town and Country Act and bylaws of Municipal Bodies in the areas where the Town and Country Planning Act is in force.
Approval was accorded to promulgate an ordinance of Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Act, 1977 (Amendment) Ordinance 2014, so as to make necessary amendment in the Act, an offical statement said.
The government had referred the amendment Bill to select committee of the Vidhan Sabha and its recommendations were tabled in the House during the Monsoon Session.
However, the Vidhan Sabha was adjourned sine die prematurely and a regular Bill could not be brought for passage.
The Cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh decided to approve some recommendations of the Select Committee regarding enactment of HP Lokayukta Act-2014 and the changes to be incorporated in the new Bill provided for inclusion of Chief Justice of Himachal High Court in the panel for selection of Lokayukta headed by the chief minister and leader of opposition as member.
The Cabinet also decided to finalize the amended draft of Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms (Amendment) Rules, 2014 which provided that the permission under section 118 of the HP Tenancy and land Reforms Act, 1972 may be deemed to have been granted subjected to few provisions in case of industrial plots to be allotted by the state Industries department and State Industrial Development Corporation (HPSIDC).
It was also decided to extend the time period of two years for Lara Sumta (104 MW) HEP and Sumte Kothang (130MW) and grant extension to Chango Yangthang (180 MW) and Yangthang Khab (261 MW).
The extension has been granted in principle without levying any extension fee to the projects in Hang Rang Valley for the affected period till the ground situation in Hang Rang Valley becomes favourable towards implementation of Hydro Electric Projects.
The Cabinet cancelled Dewar-I SHEP in district Kullu.
A decision was taken to enhance the honorarium of Water carries contract basis in Elementary and Higher education departments from the existing Rs 1,300 to Rs 1,500 per month.     

A nod was given for export of surplus stock of fuel wood outside the state after meeting the requirement of the tribal areas and domestic needs as well as the different departments.
The Cabinet accorded approval to grant of license for setting up distilleries/breweries and bottling plants in the state and inviting applications from reputed parties.
