Mumbai: Kuly Ral, the eldest member of UK-based hip-hop Bhangra band RDB, died Wednesday morning, family sources said. RDB, behind hits like 'Sadi Gali' and 'Rafta Rafta', is a Punjabi DJ production team consisting of three brothers Kuly, Manj and Surj. Kuly, stated to be in his late thirties, died of unspecified illness amid reports that he was suffering from cancer.

In the past, RDB has given hits like 'Yamla Pagla Deewana', 'Singh is Kinng' and few others. They also gave song for Akshay Kumar's Indo-Canadian production "Speedy Singhs".

"Just heard about Kuly's sudden demise. Still reeling from the shock of the news. RIP," actor Akshay Kumar wrote on twitter."Such tragic news to wake up to. Can't believe Kuly from RDB is no more! So many grt songs! Heartfelt condolences to the family. RIP 9 (sic)," wrote Sophie Choudry.
