When it comes to Bollywood songs centred on the occasion of gala-colour-festival, superstar Amitabh Bachchan's 'Rang barse bheege chunarwali' tops the list, followed by 'Holi ke din dil khil jaate hain' from 'Sholay', and 'Aaj na chodenge hum humjoli' from Rajesh Khanna super-hit 'Kati Patang'.

But since youths of current generation like hip hop music, in recent years, the film industry has churned out some high paced songs against the backdrop of the festival of colours.

Here we list some Holi flavour songs that hit the charts after 2000:

Balam pichkari (2013): Choreographed to the settings of Holi, 'Balam pichkari' has ruled the roost as the song enhances the tone of the festival. The song is sung by Vishal Dadlani and Shalmali Kholgade for the movie 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'.

Do me a favour let's play Holi (2005):
A Hinglish Holi song composed by Anu Malik, is sung by popular playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan and Malik himself for the movie 'Waqt: The Race Against Time'. Nicely composed, the song is a must play on every Holi.

Go Go Govinda (2012): Sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Aman Trikha, the song was filmed on Sonakshi Sinha and Prabhu Deva for the movie  'Oh My God'. The electrifying dance moves of Sonakshi and Prabhu won many hearts.

Soni soni ankhiyo wali (2000):
One of the finest choreographed songs, this one from Mohabbatein is filmed on a bunch of stars-Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Uday Chopra, Jugal Hansraj, Jimmy Shergill, Shamita Shetty, Kim Sharma and Preeti Jhangiani. The playback is given by Udit Narayan, Jaspinder Narula, Shweta Pandit, Sonu Nigam, Asha Bhosle, Vinod Rathod and Alka Yagnik.

Holi khele raghuveera (2003):
With the main playback given by Amitabh Bachchan, the song is picturised on Hema Malini, and others. The song rejuvenated the flavour of the 70s. 'Holi khele raghuveera' has been sung by Alka Yagnik, Sukhwinder Singh, and Udit Narayan and written by Sameer for the movie 'Baghban'. It is highly liked by people of all age-groups.
