Film: Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty

Director: AR Murugadoss

Cast: Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Freddy Daruwala and Govinda

The movie basically depicts the uneasy relationship between the army persons and the civilians. It’s a complete package with all the necessary elements including masala, entertainment, suspense and romance for the audience.

‘Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ is the story of Captain Virat Bakshi, which is essayed by Akshay Kumar. During his vacation, Virat tries to save Mumbai from a sleeper cell terrorist attack, threatening to plunder the city. Meanwhile, Virat also utilizes his vacations in smoothening his love life. Virat falls in love with a lady boxer (Sonakshi Sinha). Performing his duty honestly during his vacations too, Virat has left an inspirational message for the audience that work is worship and should always be given preference.

Review: Akshay Kumar can be seen breathing life into his character as he has done complete justice with his part. In a bid to satisfy all genres of his viewers, Murugadoss has successfully essayed Akshay and Sonakshi’s beautiful love chemistry into it.

The lead cast of the film, especially the male protagonist Akshay Kumar, has performed his role brilliantly.
The director in an attempt to keep the viewers engrossed up has put in adequate amount of romance in the flick.

Unfortunately, the songs in Murugadoss film are not so soothing. While the last farewell song, which is meant for the dedication and sacrifices of the Indian soldiers, would definitely roll tears into your eyes.
The film is Akshay's most engaging entertainer and a must watch.
