Greater Noida: After facing difficulties over land acquisition row, flat buyers in Greater Noida are set to face new hurdles in acquiring their dream homes following delay in approval of Greater Noida Master Plan 2021.

This time the delay in approval for the master plan has come from NCR Planning Board.

Expecting fresh trouble, the Noida Extension Flat Owner and Member Association (NEFOMA), an association of flat purchasers, has decided to hold a rally on December 17 to express their disappointment on the delay.

“We have only got hollow promises from the Noida authorities on the issue,” said, NEFOMA director Vijay Trivedi.

He said the people have played a gamble by investing in properties in the Noida Extension and they don’t know when they will get possession of their flats.

Several flats buyers have also got notices from builders for paying EMIs of the flats.

NEFOMA vice-president Anugyan said they are in big trouble as banks are increasing interest rates and also builders are asking for money. “We are also not sure when we will get our flats,” he added.

Founder of the Association, Devendra Kumar, has threatened to launch protest if the authorities fail to start work in the proposed sites.
