"Poetry is something that you have to understand. It is not easy. You can read poetry, but there are so many deeper meanings attached to it. I'm working with Imtiaz in 'Tamasha', which has a lot to do with storytelling and poetry. So I hope to understand it more," the actor said.

For getting a grip over the art of poetry, Ranbir said he is spending time in the recording studio with lyricist Irshad Kamil and music maestro AR Rahman.

"We always debate over what is more important music or words. But I think without words there is no soul," the actor added.

Ranbir launched Irshad's book on Friday. After 'Rockstar', the trio have teamed up again for' Tamasha'.

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old is ready to treat his fans with movies like 'Roy', 'Bombay Velvet' and 'Jagga Jasoos' this year.
