Virbhadra, who arrived in Shimla on Thursday after meeting Finance Minister P Chidambaram, said there is difference in funding pattern to special category states like Himachal Pradesh and the North-Eastern states at present.
“While the North-Eastern states are getting funds in the pattern of 90:10 ratio, the same is not applicable in Himachal Pradesh which is getting funding varying between 20 percent and 75 percent for Centrally sponsored schemes,” he said.
The Chief Minister demanded release of Rs 750 crore for providing balance amount under savings or additionally in order to fully finance the annual plan of 2013-14.
He also demanded revival of special industrial package till 2020 by providing Income Tax and Central Excise duty exemption to the industrial units for next ten years.
Singh said that Chidambaram assured to look into all the demands.
