The new HP ConvergedSystem is a family of integrated IT systems built for key workloads such as virtualization, big data and hosted desktops, HP India director, Storage, Barun Lala told reporters in nDelhi.

In the next five years, the unstructured data is expected to grow by 50 times. Enterprises need to be able to manage this exponential growth while introducing new applications, such as big data analytics, he said.

The new HP ConvergedSystem products simplify IT use, enabling clients to go from order to operations in as few as 20 days, HP India said in a statement. As IT organizations transform to become more agile, reduce costs, they are increasingly turning to integrated systems that minimize resources spent architecting and refining solutions, it said.

Research firm IDC has projected that the market for converged systems will grow more than three times faster than the growth of spend on traditional infrastructure. The company also introduced Converged Storage solutions with a single architecture offering primary storage, data protection and retention.

The HP Converged Storage portfolio includes StoreOnce Backup, StoreAll Archive, and StoreAll Storage systems.
