Shimla: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Thursday released its manifesto for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections promising unemployment allowance of Rs 2,000 and creation of one lakh job every year.

Releasing the manifesto, Rajya Sabha member and North zone in-charge of TMC, K D Singh said the party would work for development of all sectors including agriculture, horticulture, roads, tourism, health, power and industry.

He assured to bring a comprehensive land acquisition policy under which land would be acquired if it was absolutely necessary and agricultural lands would not be acquired at all.

The TMC would raise the issue of Himachal's share in Chandigarh under the Punjab Reorganisation Act, formulate policy for preservation of Waqf properties, develop religious places and develop adventure, heritage and sports tourism.

The welfare of labourers, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, backward classes and other poor and underprivileged sections of the society are also included in our agenda, Singh added.

TMC is contesting at 24 out of 68 assembly seats of Himachal.
