Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government has decided to pay Rs 120 per day to the workers in the private sector and increase the monthly pension of the freedom fighters from Rs 4000 to Rs 5000.

The government has also decided to honour the officials and workers in public projects who would be able to finish the work in the given time frame, said Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal at a Cabinet meeting.

The government has agreed to make reforms in the minimum wage of the workers in the private sector, sources said.

Now, the labourers would be getting Rs 120 instead of Rs 110 per day. The Cabinet has even agreed upon increasing the monthly pension of freedom fighters from Rs 4000 to Rs 5000.
