Other than One M9s, HTC has another variant called One M9+. The One M9+ is equipped with slightly amped up hardware. However, this is not the first time that HTC has launched variant of its popular smartphone.

HTC One M9s specifications and features:
The One M9s is essentially the same phone as the One M9, except some small notable changes in the hardware. For starters, the screen size is the same 5-inch full HD (1080p) with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

The handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6795 Helio X10 64-bit octa-core 2.1GHz SoC, paired with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The One M9 sports Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM.

On the storage front, the M9s comes with 16GB of onboard storage with microSD card slot, whereas the One M9 has 32GB of onboard storage. The One M9 sports a 20-megapixel rear camera, whereas the One M9s comes with a slightly lower resolution 13-megapixel sensor. However, the optical image stabilization that was absent in the One M9 is now present in the One M9s. The front-facing selfie camera is still the same ultrapixel unit.

Battery capacity of 2,840 mAh and connectivity features such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and GPS are the same on both smartphones. While the design, front facing BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio and weight of both handsets also remain the same, the M9s runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS wrapped under HTC’s Sense UI 7 out-of-the-box.

The One M9s will be available in Taiwan starting November 21 and will be priced at TWD 12,900, which roughly translates to Rs 25,500.
