The invitation card itself gives no hint about what will the event showcase. Although, the makers have been teasing the much anticipated phone in China from a past few weeks.

The smartphone features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. Speculations are being made that the device will have unibody.

The device is powered by Octa core Kirin 930  processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM. The Ascend P8 operates on the Android 5.0 Lollipop with Emotion User Interface.

The Ascend P8 sports dual 13-megapixel cameras with auto-focus and dual LED flash. It also has functions like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and HDR.
