The company is likely to position the new car between two of the top-selling hatchbacks i10 and i20. Though Hyundai is yet to officially begin with the bookings of the new car, a number of Hyundai dealers across the nation have reportedly started taking pre-orders for the car.

It has been learnt that in the national capital, the car can be pre-booked for a sum of Rs 25,000 to 40,000 and in Mumbai, a few dealers are taking pre-orders against an amount of Rs 50,000.

Let’s have a look at some of the key features of the car. The Grand i10 will be available along with engine options of 1.1-litre U2 diesel and 1.2-litre Kappa petrol mill. The 1.1 litre U2 diesel engine will be a new variant in the Indian market and the 1.2-litre Kappa will have the power-features similar to the current models of Hyundai – i10 and i20.

The Grand i10 will also have a number of other exciting features like rear AC vents, which will reportedly be the first in its class. Besides, an array of other features, which are expected to spice up the car are height adjustable driver's seat, reversing camera, electric ORVMs and many others. In terms of safety, the Grand i10 is likely to come up with some advanced ones like ABS and airbags and it apart from having a longer wheelbase than the regular i10, it is also more spacious.

The Hyundai Grand i10 is expected to be priced at around Rs 4.5 – 5 lakh.
