"I hope that in future I will be able to participate in IPL. What I have said is that I don't want to make any comment on politics,” he said on Tuesday.

Ganguly also declined to comment on CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechuri claiming in Agartala on Sunday that he had always been with the Left and hoped that he would remain so.

"This is not the platform to discuss politics," he said.

After BJP, now Congress trying to woo Ganguly?

"I have said earlier and I am saying it now that I have no comment. I want to talk only on the South Africa-India cricket series," he added.

On Sunday, West Bengal Congress unit chief Pradip Bhattacharya had met Ganguly at his residence. He, however, maintained that it was a courtesy call.

Ganguly yet to decide on offer to join BJP

Ganguly had earlier said that he had received the offer from the BJP.  The former Indian skipper, however, made it clear that he had not yet decided on joining politics.
