Los Angeles, Jan 05 (Agencies): Too occupied with her anti-Vietnam war efforts, actress Jane Fonda said she wasn’t a good mother.

The actress has a daughter from her first husband Roger Vadim and a son with activist Tom Hayden. She said that she couldn’t spend much time as she was too busy in her anti war efforts.

"I don't think I taught them much. I don't think I was that good of a mother. But I did always tell them the truth and I hope they can always learn from my mistakes," she said.

Fonda now shares a close bond with her grandchildren and she feels it is her second chance to mend her relationships with children.
"That's what's so great about being a grandmother - it gives you a second chance," she said.
