"I haven't said that I don't want any further probe," his son, Sartaj Saifi said, adding, "Meine sirf yeh kaha tha mujhe CBI probe ki abhi koi zarurat nahi hai" (I only said that presently there is no need for a CBI probe).
    
"Insaaf ke liye, mujhe kahin tak bhi jaana pada, toh mein jaounga (for the sake of justice, I will go to any extent)," he said in various tweets from his twitter handle @sartajsaifi162.
    
"Mein UP govt dwara ki gayi police karvayi se abhi tak santusth hun (I am satisfied with police probe till now)," Sartaj, who is a corporal with Indian Air Force, tweeted. When contacted, Sartaj said that he had got this tweeted to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's office.
    
A UP government spokesperson had yesterday said the mother, brothers and other kin of Ikhlaq, a resident of Bishada village in Gautam Budh Nagar district whose killing in September sparked nationwide outrage, had called on Yadav at his residence here.
    
According to the spokesperson, the family members of the victim said they were satisfied with the action taken in the case so far and with the Rs 45 lakh compensation extended to them.
