London: 'Dallas' star Larry Hagman has vowed to keep on working despite battling prostate cancer.

The 80-year-old actor, who is reprising his role as the ruthless oil baron J R Ewing in a revival of the iconic series after a 20-year break, insisted he has no plans to slow down, Daily Express reported.

"I feel good. I haven't started my therapy yet but it's treatable and curable. I'm going to try to work through the whole thing," he said.

Hagman, who had a liver transplant in the mid-1990s, said he had lost 6lb in eight days.

"It's a very common and treatable form of cancer. As we all know, you can't keep JR down," he added.

The actor was diagnosed with cancer earlier this month and is all set to star in a new 10-part series of the show to be aired on Channel 5 next year.
