Senior officers of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, 200 national and 10 international delegates will be participating in the three-day long conference.

The theme of the conference is ‘Opportunities sans boundaries’ and will have two orations and two guest lecturers.

Raha, while addressing the officers, congratulated ISAM for keeping pace with the development in the aviation industry.

The ISAM conference will comprise of the inaugural ceremony, scientific sessions, poster exhibition and social functions.

Arup Raha, Chief of Indian Air Force said, “Military and civil aviation is just about 80 years old. Therefore, aviation medicine is the youngest profession in the medical science. It has kept pace fortunately with the development in the aviation industry, which has been absolutely phenomenal in the last four to five decades.”

Talking to a reporter, Raha said a lot of activities and policies will be changed in the indigenous production of military hardware.

Recently, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi commissioned country's largest indigenous missile destroyer INS Kolkata at naval dockyard in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Arun Jaitley will commission INS Kamorta on Saturday.
