New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Wednesday raised objections to the construction of three hotels close to its base station in Rajokri here on Wednesday. A complaint in this regard has been registered with the local authorities.

According to Union Defence Minister AK Antony the hotels against which objections have been raised include Dhawan Farm (now Mapple Emerald), Chawla Farm and Bhatia Farm because they are too close in proximity of the Air Force station.

Under the IAF Act 1934, clearance is to be obtained from concerned authorities for any form of construction in the vicinity of Air Force stations and airport.

However, this is not the first case in the national capital in which objections have been raised over construction of building in vicinity of the airports.

The airport authorities of Palam Air Force station and Indira Gandhi International Airport have raised objection to such constructions.
