Jaipur: In wake of the military challenges from China and Pakistan, Indian Air Force is all set to take a major initiative on Saturday to strengthen its safety base. The introduction of Sukhoi in the Indian air fleet will boost the country’s defence capacity giving cold feet to its enemies.

The much feared Sukhoi can now be heard roaring in the Jodhpur skies bordering Pakistan which will be an added star to the Indian defence power. It will also magnify the security system of the nation.

The Centre would provide Rs 64,000 crore to the IAF in coming years for Sukhoi considered most important from the military’s viewpoint. Jodhpur is a major airbase with minimal distance from the Pakistan border.

According to the military sources, the Squadrons will join duty from October 1 along with the deployment of 16 aircrafts.

The significance of the Sukhoi can be understood by the fact that it attains a speed of 2,450 km within an hour due to which it will be of major importance on the western border of India. The aircraft can carry 8,000 kg weapons in a single flight and can cover a distance of 5,200 kms in one go.

The license production of Sukhoi-30 MKI is carried out on the basis of the contract with the Russian Sukhoi company.
