Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government is in no mood to grant any leniency to IAS officer Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil who is accused of molestation. Talking to the media, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday said that his government has taken prompt action in this regard and no leniency would be granted to the accused.

He further said that a list of officials who have pleaded in his favour is also being prepared and the government will deal strongly with them. Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil, a 2001 batch IAS officer, was arrested on Monday on the charge of eve-teasing and molestation. He was suspended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

Shashi Bhushan, who is the Special Secretary in the Technical Education Department, was accused of making indecent advances to a girl passenger while travelling in the second AC coach of the New Delhi-Lucknow Mail.
