The tally for gallant actions is led by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Raja Babu Singh who was instrumental in the elimination of the bandit gang of Ramu Tomar in the dacoit affected Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh in 2006 as the Superintendent of Police.

Singh is currently posted in the headquarters of the paramilitary force here and has been decorated with the Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG).

The second medal for gallant action has been given to Constable Ramesh Chandra, who in 2012, undertook and led from the front against Naxals in Chhattisgarh.

Chandra, who served in Maoist affected areas since his induction in the force in 2009, lost his eye in the daring operation but his dare devilry led to the killing of some red ultras as their plans to ambush the patrol squad were thwarted because of the bravery of this trooper of the 44th battalion of the force.
