•    No of proposers at the time of nomination: As per section 33 (1) the Representation of the People Act, 1951, there should be only one proposer for a candidate of any of the national or state level parties. In case of an independent or non-recognized party candidate, the required number of proposers is 10.

•    When does a candidate take oath before an election officer: Usually a candidate takes oath at the time of nomination. But if due to some reasons, a candidate is not able to take oath, he can do so in presence of the designated election officer till a day before the scrutiny of nomination papers begins.
