Boat Club at India Gate: Take your children to India Gate. It is one of the oldest boating spots in Delhi. 20 paddle boats and 19 row boats are available at reasonable prices. Sailing at such a historical place is bound to give you a rich experience. The beauty of the Lake is that it goes parallel to Rajpath.

Purana Qila: The Lake at the famous tourist place Purana Qila offers boating at very low cost; Rs 20 per person. Adjacent to the Delhi Zoo, the historical place dates back to the Mahabharata era. Eventually, it gives you a mystique feeling.

Sanjay Lake: The beautiful Lake was built in the 1970s by Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Spread over 69 hectares (170 acres), Sanjay Lake is also popular for migratory birds and indigenous trees.

Bhalswa Lake: The Bhalswa Lake was earlier being used as a landfill area but later it was developed into a Jheel (Lake). It was originally shaped like a horseshoe. The Lake is a home for migratory wildlife species, especially water birds, storks and cranes. Boating in greenery gives awesome experience.

Naini Lake: The Lake was built in the 1960s by the DLF Group. Naini Lake offers Shikara (houseboat) ride that takes you twice around the Lake. It can board six adults and children at a point of time.

Cost:  Shikaras - Rs 120 per person, Paddle boat: Rs 50 per person

Surajkund Lake: Surajkund Lake is an ancient reservoir of the 10th century. It is located at the Anagpur Dam which was built in 8th century.

Time:  10 am to 5 pm
