New Delhi: China is involved in various infrastructure projects in PoK which cannot be overlooked, said Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah while expressing concern over increased Chinese military activity on the Indian border.

Abdullah firmly believes China is increasing its activity near Sino-China border in the Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Ladakh and India will have to keep a vigil eye on this.

Speaking to a news channel, he said, “The regions situated on the border, especially Ladakh is the bone of contention between the two countries due to the unclear demarcation of boundary line.”

Accepting that leaders at the Centre are well aware of the ongoing activities on the Sino-India border, Omar said he prefers his grandfather’s ideology to his father’s.

Replying to a question that is he not inviting to Bollywood for shooting in the valley, Omar said he has given a green signal to Amir Khan for shooting in Kashmir but Bollywood’s way of depicting Kashmir in their movies irks him.

Coming to political remarks, he expressed his annoyance with PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti, who had described him as a Delhi boy, saying he does not want to make any comment on this.

Then he hit at BJP and justified his decision for not allowing them to unfurl the national tri-colour at the famous Lal Chowk on the Republic Day.

“Where were these BJP leaders during the last 20 Republic Day celebrations? Why did they not come all forward all these years to unfurl the national flag? I did invite him to hoist the flag in government function which they turned down. Don’t I know what their real intention was behind the flag hoisting?” he added.

When asked whether he will join the Central politics, he said his father is representing the state in Delhi, while he would like to serve the nation from Kashmir.
