Srinagar: In the view of acquittal of Tahawwur Rana accused in Mumbai terror attacks by the US courts, former Union Minister and Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar on Sunday said that India should not believe US courts in fight against terrorism and booking perpetrators.

“India should not depend on the US courts. India should resume talks with Pakistan without any delay to stop terrorism,” said Aiyar.

Speaking at a seminar organised by a NGO on Panchayat’s role in rural development in Srinagar, Aiyar said, “We should not wait for US for taking action against terrorism in our own country.”

“We should not wait for US court’s verdict to initiate our process against terrorism,” he said.

He added that we should respect the Chicago court’s verdict.
