New Delhi: India thrashed Sri Lanka 93-45 in a league match of the FIBA Asia Under-18 Championships Qualifying tournament on Saturday.

India dominated over their opponents in all the four quarters of the match played at the Thyagraj Indoor Stadium.

The home side took a big 26-6 lead in the first quarter before allowing the Sri Lankans to close the gap with 21-17 scoreline in the second.

The third and fourth quarters were also won by India 31-9 and 15-13 respectively. Rakesh scored maximum points for India with 18 while Loveneet Singh contributed 15.

In another league match, Bangladesh beat Nepal 78-54.
