Islamabad: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday said that India is committed to resolve all outstanding issues with Pakistan through bilateral dialogue.

In a message of greetings sent to his Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani on the occasion of Pakistan Day, which will be observed on Wednesday, Singh said, "We sincerely desire to have peaceful and cooperative relations between our two countries. We are committed to resolving all outstanding issues with Pakistan through bilateral dialogue."

India and Pakistan agreed to revive their dialogue process, which was stalled in the wake of the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The Home and Interior Secretaries of the two countries will meet in New Delhi later this month to kick-start the process.

Pakistan Day memorialises the adoption of the Lahore Resolution that led to the creation of the country and the adoption of the country's first constitution.
