Ludhiana: After a hard fought battle in the past 20 days, India and Canada will lock horns for the Kabaddi World Cup title at the Guru Nanak stadium in Ludhiana on Sunday. Meanwhile, in the women category Indian team will take on England eves in the finals.

The champion team in the men’s category will walk away with a prize money of Rs 2 crore whereas the runner-up will get Rs 1 crore. The third positioned team will be given a prize amount of 50 lakh.

Whereas, the women Kabaddi World Cup champions will be given Rs 25 lakh prize money while the runner-up will get Rs 20 lakh.

Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone and sizzling Chitrangda Singh will grace the occasion.

India reached the final of the 20-day tournament easily, defeating the Italian team 74-15 in their semifinal match played at the flood-lit multi-purpose stadium on Friday.

In the women's section, in which four teams are participating for the first time, hosts India trounced the US team 57-7 in the last league match on Friday evening.
