Jaipur: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Udaipur, Rajasthan’s first IIM was officially inaugurated y by Union minister for Road Transport and Highways, CP Joshi.

 “To make India a developed country we need to apply well assembled developing model to bring social reform. It is important to remove the social inequalities and to develop the infrastructure in rural areas. This can be done with the help of technical skills acquired at of IIM,” Joshi said after the inauguration.

“We need to overlook the social diversity in India by looking at a common perspective, which is the only way to develop the country,” he added.

Joshi highlighted the importance of bringing more and more PPP models for the development of infrastructure. “The government in the 12th Five Year Plan is planning to bring PPP model in education, health and road construction projects,” the minister said.

Speaking on the occasion, CK Birla, President of Indian Research Institute said, “Institutes like IIM’s are an opportunity for the talented people and this will surely help in making a golden image of the country.”
