New Delhi: Young Indian tennis player Prerna Bhambri suffered a straight-set defeat at the hands of Chinese Zhaoxuan Yang in the semifinals of the $10,000 ITF women's tennis tournament here on Friday.

The Eight-seeded Indian failed to raise her game and was thoroughly outplayed 1-6, 1-6 by unseeded Zhaoxuan at the DLTA complex here.

The 18-year-old Delhi girl had defeated fourth-seeded Ashvarya Shrivastava in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

In another semifinal, sixth seeded Hae-Sung Kim of Korea defeated third seeded Nadia Abdala of Mexico 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.

The final clash will be between Hae-Sung and Zhaoxuan on Saturday.
