Indore: Lokayukta has registered a total of 45 cases of corruption and conducted six major raids against state employees for holding property and money disproportionate to their known source of income in Indore district during the year 2012.

Raids at the residences of Ramlakhan Singh Yadav, Anand Pathak, Brijendra Sharma, Purushottam Somkunwar, Laxminarayan Yadav and Bhupendra Singh for having income disproportionate to known source of incomes have revealed property and assets worth Rs 20 crore, according to a Lokayukta year end report, an official said on Tuesday.

Out of 45 cases of Prevention of Corruption Act, the chargesheet was filed in the court in 24 cases in the stipulated year.

So far, six accused were granted punishment and two accused were acquitted by the court, the report said.
