Chandigarh: Putting a dent on the image of the BJP of being a ‘party with a difference’, the state unit of the ruling party in Punjab is battling infighting after the recent reshuffle in the state Cabinet.

The crisis in the BJP began after the scam related to land allotment in the state surfaced. While the CBI arrested a chief secretary, it summoned two BJP ministers for interrogation. Taking corrective action, the party high command has asked its five ministers to resign from the party.

The trouble in the party began after out of the five ministers who had resigned earlier, two were re-instated into the Cabinet.

While some of the state leaders have come in open on party's decision, some of them are playing their cards from behind the curtains.

Now a complaint has been registered with the Chief Minster about a Cabinet Minister alleging that he charged lakhs of rupees for  transferring his departmental officials.

The party leaders believe that the party insiders are behind the sabotage.

Former Industry minister Manoranjan Kalia is leaving no stone unturned to clarify his innocence and is trying to sell the argument that he has been isolated without any crime.

The supporters of the Master Mohan Lal have claimed that he was ousted from the ministry without any apparent reason. LaL is believed to have become a victim of local politics of Pathankot as state president Ashwani Sharma wanted his removal.

Lal has also alleged that he faces life threat from Ashwani Sharma.
