New Delhi: The condition of Israeli diplomat’s wife who was injured in a car blast near the Prime Minister’s residence here a day earlier was reported stable on Tuesday.

“She is recuperating well to the treatment. We have conducted surgery twice upon her and shrapnel were removed from her spine. Presently, she is kept under observation for 72 hours,” said Dr Aroop Bahnot at Delhi's Primus Hospital where she is admitted.

He further said, “The diplomat’s wife had received bad injuries in the liver and spines. We have conducted her CT scan on Tuesday and we will decide the course of treatment after the meeting of group of doctors.

Tal Yehoshua Koren, wife of the Israeli defence attaché, was injured on Monday afternoon after a terror attack targeting the embassy car she was travelling in.

According to the doctors, Koren can be taken abroad for advance treatment as her condition gets stable.
