According to some reports in November 2013, Instagram was preparing to launch a new private-messaging feature. New feature would pop up in an updated version of Instagram before the end of 2013, it claimed. It is speculated that a holiday launch of this new feature will give Instagram whole new dimension.

The emails were discovered while database population by an e-commerce company about social networking sites and the source revealed that the Instagram addresses were never seen before, stated TechCrunch. This feature will enable users to send direct messages to the users in order to improve working of Instachat, InstaMessage and InstaDM apps.

By giving users an exclusive e-mail address, the company eyes more seamless and integrated service that will help expand as well as diversify the user base of this online photo-sharing service.

No extra information was provided by Instagram regarding their future expansion plans. Facebook has recently moved towards offering its users Facebook.com email addresses.
