New Delhi: In a bid to connect Chandigarh station with new signal system, the non-interlocking work started on Thursday. The work will be likely to be completed by September 5, until then the trains on this important route will be operated manually.

Due to this, the Railway authorities have cancelled two trains and have announced route diversion for several other trains.

According to spokesperson from Northern Railways, the Ambala-Kalka Express 54331/54332 has been cancelled from Thursday until Saturday. Besides, Dibrugarh -Chandigarh special train has been canceled between Ambala and Chandigarh. From August 25 to September 1, the train will ply from Ambala railway station.

Similarly, the route of Ambala-Churaru Takarla DMU Passenger has also been changed to Ambala- Sirhind – Morinda.
