Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Government has decided to provide insurance cover to parents of girl beneficiaries under the Ladli Laxmi Yojna.

A special campaign will be launched from November 19 to October 12, 2013 in the state to remove misconceptions about daughters, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said at a "kanya poojan" function on Wednesday at his residence.

Apart from the insurance cover upto Rs 30,000, special facilities will also be extended to parents with only daughters in the state, Chouhan said.

He also administered a pledge to save daughters to those present on the occasion along with his wife. So far, benefit of Ladli Laxmi scheme has been extended to over 13 lakh girls in the state.
