Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Minor Forest Produce Federation has organised a five-day-long International Herbal Fair from November 22 in the state capital.

"This year, delegates from the US and Europe will take part in the fair, which will showcase the state's rich bio-diversity, especially the medicinal plants," federation chairman and MLA Vishwas Sarang told.

The fair will be inaugurated by the Forest Minister Sartaj Singh on November 22, while the state Governor Ram Naresh Yadav will preside over the concluding function on November 26. The federation is playing a major role in promoting herbal products at the national and international levels and is thus helping in providing real value to the tribals engaged in collecting minor forest produce specially medicinal herbs, Sarang added.
