New Delhi: Acting on a tip off from intelligence agencies, the Delhi Police Special team on Wednesday busted an international human trafficking racket which was operating in several parts of the country.

Under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhishma Singh, a special team comprising Inspector Kailash Singh Bisht and Badarish Dutt, nabbed a gang of five people after getting a tip off by the intelligence that a consignment of Bangladeshi passports will be received at Delhi Airport from Dubai.

Those arrested have been identified as Sayed Shakir Hasan, Manoj Kumar Nayak, Manish Kumar Sharma, Kuldeep and Rakesh Behl.

“We have recovered 97 passports issued from Nepal, India and Bangladesh, 11 fake visa stickers on passports, stamps of passport office, dye used in preparing fake visas, computer system and 12 fake visa stickers of USA, Canada, Malaysia and Vietnam and several fake documents from the accused,” said DCP (special cell) Arun Kampani.

Sources said the police are suspecting the involvement of anti-national elements in it.

During preliminary enquires it has been revealed that all the five accused were natives of Delhi.
