Jalandhar: Four persons, including two NRIs, were on Saturday arrested with intoxicants worth over Rs 200 crore in the international market.

"On a tip off, a police team raided a house in the Garhshankar area of Nawanshahr district and seized over 34 kgs Methamphetamine and 19 kgs of Ephedrine, which are worth over Rs 200 crore," IG Jalanadhar Zone-2 Gurpreet Dev Kaur told reporters here.

The four arrested have been identified as Amandeep Singh Cheema, Sukhwinder Singh, Harkamaljeet Singh alias Roopa and Harjinder Singh.

While Amandeep has a Permanent Resident status in New Zealand, Harkamaljeet Singh is based in the United States.

The kingpin of the gang, Ranjeet Singh, who owns several properties in Delhi and several cities, is still absconding, he added.

"These intoxicants were generally used in rave parties," he said.
