Bhopal: The initial investigations into the bomb blast that rocked Delhi on Wednesday is hinting towards a Madhya Pradesh (MP) connection to the blast.

MP is the state having one of the strongest bases of the outlawed extremist organisation - Student Islamic Movement of the India (SIMI).  SIMI's link with Indian Mujahideen was also established from MP.

The terrorist network has spread its tentacles in the entire state. It can be gauged from the fact that within last three years, the accused of Ahmedabad and Jaipur blast were caught from MP. More so, the main accused who kept bombs at several places in Surat was also nabbed by the investigative agency in Ujjain.

On June 5, the Special Task Force (STF) of the state arrested Abu Faizal and his associates, who used to work with Indian Mujhaiden. In order to operate the terrorist gang, Abu looted 14 kilogram of gold from Manapuram bank.

In addition, the MP STF arrested the main accused of Ahmedabad blast, Sheikh Mujeeb from Bhopal. ATS investigating into Jaipur bomb had blast arrested wanted terrorist Sheikhur Rehman from Jabalpur.

Probing into the Delhi High Court bomb blast, the investigative agency has once again started to search for terrorist network in the state.
