Mathura: Probe into the stampede at Radha Rani temple in Barsana area, in which three persons were killed, started on Wednesday.

A three-member committee, led by chief development officer NK Vajpayi, began investigation into the stampede, official sources said.

CMO BS Yadav and ASP Rajubabu Singh are the other two members of the committee.

The preliminary investigations suggest the priests allegedly delayed opening the temple's main gate making the pilgrims restless and led to a stampede.
