Beijing: A TV reporter in central China has been found dead with more than 10 stab wounds on his body, a media report said on Tuesday.

Li Xiang, 30, was from a TV station in central China's Henan province.

Li had been planning for his wedding in October, said a friend. Li's last Weibo post suggested he was investigating illegal cooking oil.

Li is believed to have been stabbed near the place where he parked his car after having fun with friends at KTV on September 18.

A nearby guard heard suspicious noises and hurried to the scene, finding Li lying on the ground with his computer bag gone.

Police suspect it to be a murder caused as the result of robbery. But it has not ruled out other possible motives.
