Kolkata: Leading Industry body Confederation of Indian industry (CII) has said in its recent review that 70 percent of investors are willing for expansion in West Bengal. CII has released its report ‘Investors Perception’ on Thursday. Report is prepared to analyse the investment atmosphere and the willingness of enterprises. In the survey which is done with the support of Ernst and Young, 62 percent enterprises and investors have said that they have commercial as well emotional interest in West Bengal.

31 percent of them have expressed only commercial interest in the state. Maximum investors have expressed their concerns on electricity rates and few have said that it should be reduced because it will promote competitive atmosphere in the state.

It is important to note that 65 percent investors have emphasized on the need to improve the state of roads in the state. According to them, conditions of national highways and main roads are good but there is need to build as many arterial roads as possible in rural zones.
