According to the sources the device is going through the last phase of testing called ‘product validation testing’ or PVT.

The PVT phase is all about the process to check out any problems with the production line. This helps to track the production line of the possible hurdles that might come up when the device will go for mass production.

The end result of this testing phase is that Foxconn will have to churn out a couple of iPhones to set things in motion; after all the first order is expected to be in the range of 70 to 80 million units.
