New Delhi: The Indian Railway Catering Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is soon going to install food kiosks at 130 metro stations in Delhi. The food kiosks are likely to be operational by May.  

IRCTC spokesperson Pradeep Kundu said that food kiosks had to be set up at the selected metro stations in March. Now, they will be operational by May, added Kundu. First of all, the kiosks will be opened on Dwarka-Noida and Central Secretariat-Badarpur metro routes.   

The IRCTC have identified 130 metro stations where the kiosks will be set up, added the spokesperson. The kiosks will offer a wide range of food items, such as samosas, burgers, rolls, sandwich, rajma chawal and chole chawal. Officials said pastries, dairy products and soups will be available during winters.

A total of 52 stations are on the busiest Dwarka-Noida line. Presently, the busiest metro stations have refreshment facilities.
