M8 is an upgrade to the award-winning HTC One that it hopes will claw back some of the market share lost to Samsung. It has got a 5-inch full HD display, which is considered to be of superior quality. The screen possesses outstanding colour experience and touchscreen accuracy.

In terms of software, the operating system of the device is based on Google’s Android with Sense 6 layer atop. This new operating system is completely redesigned and features a better interface.

It boasts of 4.1 megapixel Ultrapixel camera, which is far better than most of the smartphones available in the market. The front camera also showcases dual camera technology which enables the user to focus on any portion of the image.

M8 is powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 801 processor. The processor of this device is powerful and strong to carry the load of heavy modern-day applications.

Galaxy S5

The Galaxy S5 variant of this device, which is launched in India, runs on an Exynos-powered octa-core processor. The Galaxy S5 is installed with a slightly bigger screen than its predecessor, at 5.1 inches compared with 5 inches, improved camera technology and better protection against water and dust, Samsung said.

It also has a fingerprint scanner on the home button, it said, which can be used to protect data and provide security credentials in a swipe.

It contains 2GB of RAM runs on Google’s Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.
