For the first time during this ongoing fight, an Israeli civilian was killed by a rocket fired from the Gaza strip.

Hamas has claimed the responsibility for launching the short-range rocket. The Israeli military says around 80 rockets have been fired at Israel since the Hamas armed wing rejected a ceasefire just hours ago.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that, “They'll intensify their offensive.”

“It would have been preferable to have solved this diplomatically and this is what we tried to do when we accepted the Egyptian proposal for a ceasefire but Hamas leaves us no choice but to expand and intensify the campaign against it,” said Netanyahu.

Meanwhile, Muslims across India staged a massive protest against the killing of innocent Palestine Muslims by the Israel military forces in Gaza.

Members of Human Rights Protection Association (HRPA) organized a protest in front of Gandhi statue in Kolkata against the Gaza assault.

In Kashmir, hundreds of slogan-shouting students from various educational institutions staged a protest in summer capital, Srinagar, to express solidarity.
