New Delhi: A Delhi Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court extended judicial custody of the journalist Syed Mohammed Ahmad Kazmi, an accused in February 13 Israeli embassy car blast case, till April 21. Hearing the case through video conferencing on Saturday, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Smita Garg extended the judicial custody of the accused in proceedings held through video conference.

PIB accredited freelance journalist Kazmi, 50, was arrested on March 6 form South Delhi based Indian Islamic Centre by Delhi Police for his alleged involvement in plotting the February 13 Israeli car explosion near the Prime Minister’s house in Delhi. Following the arrest, the Delhi police claimed to have cracked the blast case in which Tal Yehoshua Koren, wife of the Israeli defence attaché, had suffered multiple injuries with three others when a motorcycle rider attached a magnetic explosive device to her car and sped away.
